Mesh & Fabric Combination

The i29 Task chair comes with a black mesh back and either a black fabric or mesh seat pad as standard.

We also offer 56 upholstery options, making the textile customisation almost endless. All of the additional fabric options are available via our made-to-order product options which come with longer lead times.

Easy to use Controls

The i29 boasts one of the most intuitive mechanisms on the market. With three easy-to-use pictorial controls on the right-hand side, the operating seat height, seat depth, and advanced dynamic movement can be adjusted. The mechanism can also be locked at any angle. This works like a knee tilt mechanism, with the first articulation at the underside of the thighs and the second point under the user's sitting bones (ischial tuberosities), delivering constant support in active mode and reducing pressure on the user’s thighs.

Encouraging Healthy Postures

At Hood Seating, we are passionate about helping people adjust their chairs to maintain healthy postures.

The extendable direct tension control adjusts the resistance of the chair to balance users weighing from 8 to 23.5 stone comfortably.

Our fully patented floating lumbar support automatically adjusts to your movements, while the chair's split back design delivers independent upper back support. The back can also be easily adjusted in height for each user's individual anthropometric measurements.

The 4D multifunctional arms allow for adjustment of armrest length, width, and height. The angle can also be adjusted to suit your needs.

Lots of Optional Upgrades

The chair can also be enhanced with optional features. Two different styles of optional headrests are available and can be retrofitted – the Executive headrest is ideal for 24/7 use and managerial areas, while the Ergonomic headrest offers more adjustment options.

Another helpful option is a coat hanger, which can be attached to the back of the chair, keeping jackets and coats uncrumpled and safely off the floor.
